Best Way To Get Around New York?
Subway. It's the cheapest way to get around, and also the fastest by far. It's relatively clean for a system that is 110+ years old in parts, and the signs and map tell you exactly where you need to go. Don't take a taxi unless you are going crosstown with 3-4 people and there is not a crosstown subway line nearby, since it is MUCH more expensive than the Subway and has to deal with the infamous New York traffic. Don't drive unless you feel like paying $50+ to park for a day in Manhattan, in addition to bridge tolls. From Brooklyn to Rockefeller Plaza, take the B, D, F, or M to 47-50 Sts/Rockefeller Plaza or the N or R to 49 St. To the WTC, take the 2 or 3 to Park Place, the A or C to Chambers St, the 4 or 5 to Wall St, or the R to Cortlandt St. For the Statue of Liberty, take the 4 or 5 to Bowling Green or the R to Whitehall St. I hope this will help you.
