When did you start getting into Rap?

My mom listened to it when I was growing up, she doesn't so much now but for a long time she did, she would constantly play 2pac and as I got older and understanding the lyrics more he intrigued me so I started listening to more of his stuff and then after that more rappers and it became my favorite genre.
