What to think of a adoption comment?

I am placing my first baby boy up for adoption, only cuz i do not have the means to take care of him at the moment. so i found a fantastic couple and choose them. but this social worker totally made me mad and upset big time. she came to do paperwork with me and told me about how the adoptive parents names would be on the birth certificate. ok i get it no problem, but i kinda felt like i would be loosing all reconition as the real mother otherwise the biological mother. and she totally balled me out for calling my self the real mother, i would never say that to the adoptive couple or the child, he will find out later on in life no biggie. anyway i told this social worker i have every right to say i am the mother i am the one shoving this little baby out of me. it made me upset cuz she said also that it would say the adoptive mom shoved the baby out which is a total lie... did i have a reason to get upset???
