Why has hip hop gotten so lame ?

It has no meaning back then people use to write their lyrics. Now you have artist that talk about jewelry, cash, cars. They even need half naked women in their videos to sell more. Im talking about rappers like Rick Ross, Soulja Boy, Lil Wayne, and so many more. In the 90s was 2pac, Biggie, Wu Tang Clan, Outkast, Geto Boys, Nas, and others. I think Hip Hop is dead. lol
